The 2026 award season is just around the corner, with the Golden Globes, Oscars and Grammy Awards already on the horizon.
Award season officially kicks off with the Critics Choice Awards and the Golden Globes in January — hosted by comedians Chelsea Handler and Nikki Glaser, respectively. The two galas shared numerous nominees in the film categories, including Timothée Chalamet (Marty Supreme), Leonardo DiCaprio (One Battle After Another), Emma Stone (Bugonia), Michael B. Jordan (Sinners) and Ariana Grande (Wicked: For Good), among others.
The biggest and best stars in the world of music will gather at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on CBS in February, while Conan O’Brien returns to host 98th Academy Awards when they air live on ABC from the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood in March.
One major change this awards season involves the Screen Actors Guild Awards, which will rebrand as The Actor Awards, airing on Netflix in March. The very best of Broadway is celebrated at the 79th Annual Tony Awards in June, followed by TV getting its night to shine at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards in September. Along the way, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards and the American Music Awards are sure to excite and entertain fans across the musical spectrum.
