LONDON — Aaron Rodgers and Garrett Wilson connected 13 times on Sunday, but it is one of the times they failed to connect that will be more memorable.

With the Jets driving to try to win the game, Rodgers overthrew a wide open Wilson along the sideline.

The first down incompletion felt like it could have been the game-winner after Wilson shook free on a double move and had nothing but grass in front of him on the play that originated at the Vikings 41-yard line.

Instead, Rodgers who did not have his feet set under him threw the ball too far and the Jets lost 23-17 after Rodgers’ third interception a few plays later.

Rodgers indicated Wilson may have slipped on the play.

While the incompletion is memorable, the fact Wilson had 13 catches for 101 yards and a touchdown is notable after the hand-wringing over whether Wilson and Rodgers are on the same page and Wilson making critical comments about the offense and his usage this week.

“At the end of the day, it ain’t about me and him getting on the same page,” Wilson said. “It ain’t about me and him doing da, da, da. We’ve got to win games. It don’t matter. Do I think that can help us win? Yes. Do I think me being involved can help us win? Yes. But the ultimate goal is winning. Whatever it takes to get there that’s what the hell we’ve got to do.”

Rodgers said the Jets made an effort to get Wilson open.

Rodgers threw a 1-yard touchdown pass to Wilson early in the fourth quarter that cut the score to 20-17.

“It’s good to get G involved,” Rodgers said. “Moved him around a lot. Gave him a lot of different routes. You know, could have had even some bigger ones. He slipped on the one that could have been a touchdown. He slipped on the in-break that could have been a big one out the back. So the field, there was some conversation around the slipperiness of the field. But both teams are playing on it. We’ve got to handle that.”
