It turns out that Saturday is actually humpday.

A new global study has revealed that 10:09 p.m. on Saturdays is the exact time that people are having the most sex.

Luxury lingerie retailer Pour Moi conducted a survey of 2,000 sexually active adults across the world to discover humankind’s horny habits.

A sizable 43% of respondents said Saturday was their favorite day to get freaky — and the day they were most likely to do the deed.

Friday came in second with 22% of respondents, followed by Sunday and Thursday at 10% and 6% respectively.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the earlier days of the week were less alluring. Monday was the least favored day of the week for sex, with just 2% of respondents ranking it as their first preference.

The study found that the late-night hours are the most popular for sexy time — with 10:09 p.m. being the most sexually active minute on the clock.

The least likely time were respondents were likely to be having sex was on weekday afternoons, so those who do enjoy a mid-workday romp are in a rare category.

Mondays at 1:02 p.m. was deemed the least sexually moment of the week.

Additionally, the lingerie experts analyzed just how often people are having sex, with nearly half of respondents (48%) saying they partake in sexual activity with another person once a week.

A smaller percentage of people reported having sex more often, with 19% of respondents making love twice a week, 13% three times a week and 7% four times a week.

As frequency increases, the percentage decreases, with only 1% of participants reporting participating in sexual activity on a daily basis.

How often adults would like to have sex warranted a different response for men and women.

Adults overall feel that having sex twice a week is ideal, and men between the ages of 25 and 45 are in the same category.

But women in the same age group were found to have the highest sex drive, revealing that having sex four times a week is the ideal amount.

“As a sexy lingerie retailer we aim to make as many people as possible feel their best and most confident in their garments, be that alone or with a partner to enjoy,” Marina Nicoli, Marketing Manager at Pour Moi, said in a statement.

“So it’s really interesting to see how intimacy varies from person to person around the globe, but also to know that it is the weekend evenings that seem to be the most popular time for people to feel at their most relaxed and ready to enjoy time with their partner.”
