Fans were sour when this sweet was taken off shelves — but now it’s returning to market more than a decade after being discontinued.

Altoids Sours first went on sale back in 2001, before being nixed nine years later.

Since 2010, desperate fans have started multiple change.org petitions begging for the candy to be brought back.

Now, they’ve finally succeeded — but there’s a catch.

The sweets will only be on sale at Cracker Barrel’s Old Country Store and will be sold under a different name, food Instagram account Snackolator revealed.

Every location of the popular Southern food restaurant has a store attached, full of nostalgic accessories and snacks.

Snackolator claimed that the candies will not be made by Altoid, accounting for the name change.

They’re reportedly being made by the third-party company Iconic Candy, a family-owned and operated candy company that specializes in bringing back discontinued favorites.

Though the revival will use the same original recipe, the candy will now be known as Retro Sours.

Flavors customers can expect to find include mango, tangerine and citrus.

Altoids Sours lovers are seemingly ecstatic about the news, commenting that they “can’t wait till they’re back.”

“Childhood memories unlocked!!!” one exclaimed.

“I NEVER THOUGHT I’D LIVE TO SEE THE DAY!!!😍😍😍” another wrote.

“I’ve been dying for these since they left!” someone else admitted.

“The roof of my mouth hurts looking at them,” a commenter quipped.

While there is no definitive date for the return that has been announced yet, Snackolator wrote that they will be “coming this month” to Cracker Barrel locations.
