Hunter Biden was brought back to reality during an appearance on “Real Time with Bill Maher,” being stopped mid-rant by the host to remind him that his own father and “every Democrat” swore Iran could never have a nuclear weapon
The former first son outlandishly claimed Friday night that President Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner “is our unelected, unappointed emissary to the Middle East for war that nobody asked for. It’s absurd!”
Maher pushed back, saying “not nobody,” to which Biden responded, “Oh, that’s true. Bibi Netanyahu asked for it,” referencing the Israeli prime minister.
“Your father. Excuse me! every Democrat said Iran can’t have nuclear weapons,” Maher, who said last week replied.
Trump last week warned that he was planning to impose “economic D-Day” on the Islamic Republic, as the warring countries continue to clash over control of the Strait of Hormuz
“This will be Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“No one has given the Islamic Republic of Iran a greater opportunity to make a Deal than me. TRAGICALLY, for them, they have failed to take it.”
The president likened the operation to “an ECONOMIC D-DAY” that will require “our Allies to stand with the United States of America to isolate, and defeat, the Iran threat.”
That declaration comes after the 60-day period for negotiations to end the war – established under an interim peace deal signed in June – expired Monday without a breakthrough.
Kushner and US envoy Steve Witkoff have been heavily involved in those talks.
