Every year, it seems like the NFL draft is the most anticipated and exciting time for Jets fans.

The shame is that anticipation is not the same in September, October, November and December as it slowly and painfully wanes with the losses pushing the Jets from contention every year.

There’s no football being played Thursday, when the 2026 draft begins.

For the Jets, the game taking place on Thursday is not at MetLife Stadium but inside the offices at 1 Jets Drive in Florham Park, N.J., where general manager Darren Mougey and head coach Aaron Glenn will make the team’s two first-round picks.
