Bringing Up Bates alum Carlin Bates has announced she’s pregnant with baby No. 4, just one year after welcoming daughter Navy.

Bates, 28, took to Instagram on Thursday, October 15, to share photos from a maternity shoot featuring her husband, Evan Stewart, their kids Layla, 6, Zane, 4, and Navy, 13 months, and their dog. The family coordinated in white and plaid as they posed with Bates’ ultrasound photos. The reality star sported an off-the-shoulder maxidress as she cradled her baby bump.

“Baby No. 4,” Bates wrote in the caption.

Stewart, 31, commented on the post, “Filling up that new house fast! 🤭.”

Several of the couple’s friends and family members celebrated the news in the comments section.

“Welcome to the 4 club 🤭💕 you’re going to love it!!” Carlin’s sister Josie Bates, who shares four kids with husband Kelton Edward Balka, wrote.

“Still so shocked!! Can’t wait to meet this lil one👼 🥰🍼,” sister-in-law Lydia Bates added.

19 Kids and Counting alum Joy-Anna Duggar, who is close friends with the Bates family, commented, “So so excited for you all!!😍.”

In addition to the maternity shoot pics, Carlin shared a video from the special day and wrote, “And then there were six 🥹.”

Carlin’s pregnancy comes one year after she and Stewart, who tied the knot in 2019, announced Navy’s birth.

“The world just got a little softer 🥹 Our baby is here,” she wrote via Instagram in September 2025.

At the time, Carlin’s sister Erin Bates was battling severe health complications, including septic shock, after welcoming her and husband Chad Paine’s seventh baby, son Henry.

“After a long and emotional labor, our miracle arrived. Henry Blythe was born August 25th. 💙,” Paine, 39, wrote via Instagram in August 2025. “Henry is doing wonderful, but we would so appreciate your prayers for Erin as she continues to recover from some complications. We thank the Lord for carrying us through and for the gift of this precious boy.”

Paine later revealed that Erin, 35, had experienced septic shock after developing a “severe UTI and kidney infection.” (Septic shock is the final and most severe stage of sepsis, which occurs “when your immune system has an extreme reaction to an infection,” according to Cleveland Clinic. “The inflammation throughout your body can cause dangerously low blood pressure.”)

After Navy’s birth, Carlin’s parents, Gil and Kelly Jo Bates, called the baby girl a “bright spot” amid Erin’s frightening health battle.

“The joys of getting to hold our newest granddaughter is exactly what my heart needed!” Kelly Jo, 59, wrote via Instagram. “I’m so grateful to God for a safe delivery for Carlin & baby! Carlin, you’re a super-mom! I’m so proud of you & Evan & your precious family! And she’s absolutely perfect! A tiny angel!”

Erin returned home from the hospital three weeks after Henry’s birth. She regained mobility by October 2025 and has since made a full physical recovery.
