Caitlin Clark’s “Wildest Dreams” came true when she got to sit with Taylor Swift at Arrowhead Stadium.
The two made plenty of headlines — and got some screen time — after they were seen sitting next to each other and hugging during the Chiefs’ divisional round win over the Texans on Jan. 18.
Clark, a noted Chiefs fan, told 247Sports this week that the opportunity to sit with Swift for the playoff game was a thrill.
“Taylor is very sweet and very kind, and it’s just a good reminder that people in our position… we are very normal,” Clark said on the “Swarmcast” podcast. “Sometimes our lives aren’t normal, but we are very normal people, and we enjoy doing fun things, too.”
It was not only a big win for the Chiefs, but Swift’s superstar boyfriend, Travis Kelce, led the team with seven catches, 117 yards and a touchdown.
To be there for the moment — and with Swift — that Kansas City clinched a spot in its seventh straight AFC Championship game was quite a moment for the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year.
“Getting to share that, I was like, ‘Oh my God, I love this! She loves the Chiefs as much as me. Like, this is incredible!’” Clark said.
“We had so much fun, and honestly it was the perfect game. The Chiefs won, it was close at halftime, Travis scores a huge touchdown for the Chiefs, we ended up winning. There was nothing crazy that happened, and we felt confident as it got to the end.”
When Swift and Kelce made headlines as their relationship went public in the fall of 2023, Clark was among those happy for the pop star’s new-found fandom.
“Taylor Swift welcome to the good side #chiefskingdom,” Clark wrote on X then.
Clark attended consecutive Eras Tour shows in Indianapolis in the fall and Swift then gave the basketball star four bags of Eras Tour merch with a personalized note about how “inspiring” she was, Clark told Time magazine.
The Fever guard even got to meet Kelce that weekend.
“It was fun. Saw Caitlin Clark out there, got to meet Caitlin,” Kelce said on his “New Heights” podcast on Nov. 6.
Kelce and the Chiefs now get a chance to win a third straight Super Bowl, something that has never happened in NFL history.
TMZ reported this week that a suite at Super Bowl 2025 — which would presumably include Swift like last year — could set Kelce back $3 million.
