Charlie Bullen’s name should be written in pencil on the Giants coaching staff.

The Browns requested an interview with Bullen for their defensive coordinator vacancy, The Post confirmed. Bullen previously interviewed with the Cowboys, who instead hired Christian Parker from the Eagles, and the Cardinals, who are still going through the interview process.

Bullen began the last two seasons as the Giants outside linebackers coach and was retained for that role by new head coach John Harbaugh.

But Bullen, a protégé of Broncos defensive coordinator Vance Joseph, opened eyes around the league during a five-game stint calling plays as interim defensive coordinator.

New Browns head coach Todd Monken and Bullen have no known crossover experience, but Monken previously was Harbaugh’s offensive coordinator for the Ravens. So the Giants and Browns have been battling for assistant coaches all offseason.

If Bullen is hired by the Cardinals or Browns, the Giants and defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson would have to go back to the drawing board for an outside linebackers coach.
