Having a Costco membership opens the door to discounts and deals — but the $65 annual fee stops some from signing up.
Now, however, eagle-eyed budgeters have spotted a deal on Stack Social that offers Costco’s Gold Star Membership with a $45 gift card to use during their first shopping trip, meaning the membership price has effectively been slashed to just $20.
The Gold Star Membership is valid for one year at any Costco location worldwide and at Costco.com.
According to Stack Social, the membership also comes with a free Household Card that allows users to grant another member of their household access to shop at the store.
“Costco is your one-stop shop for everything you want and offers a wide range of merchandise that will likely cover all of your shopping needs! With hundreds of locations across the country, Costco is the ideal place to shop without the hassle of having to run numerous errands around town,” the listing reads.
But potential Costo members better be quick.
The fine print states that the promo code for the membership has to be purchased by Dec. 22, 2024, and redeemed by Jan. 31, 2025.
The deal is valid only for new members or for those whose membership has been expired for more than 18 months.
There’s also a limit of two membership purchases — one for you and one to gift.
According to the Costco site, the Gold Star Membership does not include the chain’s annual 2% reward and Costco services discounts.
