Second-guessing is a fun human activity. You always feel smarter when you have more information after an event than the person making a decision had before that event.
It is this fascination that makes time-travel movies so much fun. What if you could have insight on what the future holds before making a decision that determines that future? If only there were a real-life Gray’s Sports Almanac.
(Editor’s note: We are aware the Gray’s Sports Almanac that appeared in the movie “Back to the Future Park II” only cataloged events until the year 2000, which would be no use for readers today, but you know, suspension of disbelief and stuff. Just go with it.)
Perhaps, if Jerry Jones had known how this season was going to turn out for his Cowboys, he might have made a different decision instead of opting not to pursue Derrick Henry in the offseason.
