Former Yankees pitcher Colten Brewer took his frustrations out in the dugout.
And he injured himself doing it.
Brewer, now a member of the Cubs, broke his non-pitching hand while punching a wall following his latest outing on Saturday, The Athletic reported.
The right-hander came out of the bullpen in a 7-0 loss to the Angels and allowed three runs (one earned) on two hits and two walks while pitching just 2/3 of an inning in relief of starter Kyle Hendricks.
After breaking his hand, Brewer was placed on the 60-day injured list Sunday, according to The Athletic.
Fellow right-hander Hunter Bigge was been called up to fill the void.
Brewer holds a 5.66 ERA and 1.60 WHP this season, pitching in 20 2/3 innings across 16 appearances.
He has walked nine hitters and given up 13 earned runs.
Last season with the Yankees, Brewer, 31, pitched three games in pinstripes, allowing four runs in 8 1/3 frames.
Prior to the 2023 season, he spent three years with the Red Sox bullpen and one with the Padres.
