Dancing With the Stars pro Ezra Sosa has jokingly suggested that the man suspected of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson become his season 34 partner.
Sosa, 24, took to TikTok on Tuesday, December 10, to share a smiling photo of the suspect, Luigi Mangione, to highlight the pair’s physical similarities.
Captioning the clip, “he finna be my partner season 34 🥵🙂↔️🤤 #dwts,” Sosa also filmed himself merging into the photo of Mangione, 26, before shaking his head in laughter as he absorbed the pair’s mirrored hair and facial features.
Mangione is suspected of shooting and killing Thompson outside an entrance to the New York Hilton Midtown Hotel in New York City on Wednesday, December 4. After a five-day search, Mangione was arrested in Pennsylvania on Monday, December 9, while he was eating at McDonald’s in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
According to CNN, Mangione has been charged with murder and is facing four additional charges, including one count of forging a document and criminally possessing a firearm.
Sosa’s fans were quick to see the comedy in the professional dancer’s post, with one fan writing, “Honestly surprised Ryan Murphy hasn’t called you for the biopic yet. You were the first person I thought of LMAO,” and another commenting, “Ezra you need to enter the look alike contest.”
Sosa isn’t the only high-profile personality to have been rocked by the shooting. Social media influencer Caroline Calloway claimed on Monday that she has her own connection to Mangione.
“OMG GUYS I LITERALLY F—ED THE UNITED HEALTHCARE CEO ASSASSIN,” Calloway, 33, wrote via X that day. In a subsequent tweet, she wrote, “Ok technically he was not an assassin when we f—ed. … That I know of. But still!!!!”

Sosa is no stranger to stirring up controversy via TikTok. Boasting more than 502,000 followers on the social media platform, Sosa recently used it to express his thoughts on debated DWTS rules.
When a social media user referenced Derek Hough and Shawn Johnson East’s season 15 performance via TikTok last month, questioning if it was fair that the duo lost points after breaking hold during a quickstep performance, Sosa replied with his thoughts.
“The rules have gotten looser and looser each year!” Sosa wrote in response to the post on November 17. “Back than [sic] it wasn’t OK but now it is.”
Sosa was partnered with Anna Delvey for season 33 of the hit reality TV series. Serving as the show’s newest pro, Sosa led the pair to finish in 12th place.
