Be it ever so heinous, there’s no Pillsbury like The Grinch pre-cut cookies

Pillsbury is gearing up for the holiday season with the release of a new ready-to-bake shape cookie: The Grinch.

The Grinch shape sugar cookies will join the lineup of seasonal cookie doughs, including Elf, Christmas Tree, Snowman and Reindeer — but some fans are quite grumpy about the new product.

Food blogger Snackolator shared the Grinch-inspired cookies on their Instagram account and asked their followers what they thought of the design: A green Grinch-shaped head with three small red hearts beside it to resemble his heart growing in size, an infamous line from the movie.

“And his cookies grew three sizes that day!” the caption read. “New Pillsbury x Grinch sugar cookies are hitting stores soon and feature his growing heart along with a Christmas tree. The box alone is absolutely adorable!”

But people in the comments were being a real Grinch about it.

“Uhhh the green looks like a…,” one user wrote.

“It looks like green poop,” a more blunt person said, and another added, “Green Grinch poop.”

“I’m so sorry but the Grinch head on the cookie looks like poop from a butt,” one added.

“Cute concept but doesn’t look like the Grinch, looks like green poop😂,” another laughed.

“It looked like pawprints,” someone said.

“This made me think they were doing a Valentine theme cookie featuring the Grinch,” another noted.

“Christmas tree 😂,” someone commented, and one person clarified to confused users in the comments: “I don’t think it’s a tree, it’s the Grinch lol.”

According to the Pillsbury website, the Grinch cookies will be available at retailers soon — if they’re not already.

“Inspired by Dr. Seuss and the whimsical world of Whoville, this Pillsbury Shape Sugar Cookie Dough brings The Grinch to holiday baking,” the description says, adding that there’s a “bonus tree ornament activity on the box.”
