Former NBA player Desmond Mason was arrested in Oklahoma on Wednesday, according to Oklahoma County Detention Center records.

Mason, the 2001 Slam Dunk Contest champion, was jailed for a contempt of court issue stemming from his divorce case from ex-wife Andrea Mason, which TMZ says was due to not reporting for a court hearing.

He was released from Oklahoma County Detention Center on a $50,000 bond on Wednesday night.

Mason, 47, spent 10 seasons in the NBA from 2000-09.

In stints with the Supersonics, Bucks, Hornets, Thunder and Kings, Mason averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game throughout his career.

Mason was drafted No. 17 overall out of Oklahoma State in the 2000 NBA Draft by the Seattle Supersonics.

He played four seasons for the Cowboys, making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in three straight seasons from 1998-2000, including an Elite Eight appearance during his senior season in 2000.

In the 2001 dunk contest, the rookie defeated the Jazz’s DeShawn Stevenson and Hornets’ Baron Davis in the finals.

Mason has long had an interest in art, selling his work to celebrities like movie star George Clooney, sportscaster Joe Buck, nightlife honcho Rande Gerber and Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz.
