The Heat are making their move.
Miami acquired Terry Rozier from the Hornets on Tuesday morning for a 2027 first-round pick and Kyle Lowry, according to multiple reports.
Rozier gives the Heat another proven ball handler and scorer alongside Tyler Herro as Lowry has struggled for much of the season.
The Knicks had been linked to Rozier in recent days as they look to make another upgrade ahead of the Feb. 8 trade deadline.
Instead Rozier, who is averaging 23 points and six assists a game, goes to the team that eliminated the Knicks last season in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
The Heat are currently 24-19 and the sixth seed in the East.
