A woman was shocked when she ordered her partner a Christmas stocking — to receive one so small, it looks like a baby’s shoe.

Leah Hartley, 20, spotted a festive stocking on Temu and purchased it as a surprise for partner Matthew Shanahan, 21.

But when it arrived two weeks later, the stocking was comically small — unable to fit a single present inside.

Leah said the stocking was advertised as full-sized.

The young couple, from Cardiff, Wales, admitted to being “disappointed” that the tiny stocking was not fit for purpose.

But they’ve embraced the humor in the situation — by instead hanging it from a branch of their tree, as though it were a bauble.

Leah said: “When it came, I was expecting a big parcel and it was tiny.

“I was a bit devastated to be honest! You couldn’t fit anything in that — it’s definitely shocked me.

“It’s our first Christmas together and I wanted to make it special, so I feel a bit let down.”

She added: “But I do see the funny in it, how small it is.

“I’ve hung it on the Christmas tree now because it’s just like a little bauble.”

A spokesperson, from Temu, said: “We’re sorry to hear Ms. Hartley is not satisfied with her purchase.

“At Temu, we stand by our satisfaction guarantee and offer refunds for items that are damaged, not as described, or fail to arrive.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t locate a refund request under the PO number provided.

“If Ms. Hartley reaches out to our customer service team, we’ll gladly assist her further.”
