It finally is the summer of George.

On Friday night before their game with the Red Sox, the Yankees released the highly anticipated bobblehead of George Costanza, the character from the hit 1990s sitcom “Seinfeld,” to the first 18,000 fans at Yankee Stadium.

It made plenty of buzz on social media, with fans in the ballpark showing off their new figurine of the fictional Yankees assistant to the traveling secretary.

And, two days later, Jason Alexander, who played Costanza on the show for nine seasons, responded to all of the hubbub over the bobblehead.

“I’m so glad Bobblehead George was a fan fave,” Alexander wrote on X on Saturday. “No, I don’t get anything for it except joy that 35 years after putting on those glasses, people are still enjoying our work. The show was a gift from you to us. Thanks for keeping it alive.”

Alexander, the 64-year-old Newark, New Jersey native, concluded with a joke that harkened back to the third episode of the show’s final season.

“Serenity now,” Alexander said.

That might be a fitting phrase that “Seinfeld” fanatics who weren’t lucky enough to attend the game and want to procure the bobblehead.

On eBay, there are dozens of bobbleheads on the resale market, but some are being sold for as high as $214.99 — plus shipping — for the “buy it now” option.

However, not all hope is lost for those who are devout followers of the long-running comedy.

The Brooklyn Cyclones, the Mets’ High-A affiliate in Coney Island, are hosting their annual “Seinfeld” night and are giving away a Costanza bobblehead as part of the promotion.

The game will feature appearances from actors Jeremiah Burkett (who played Jean-Paul) and Richard Fancy (who played Mr. Lippman) and include an Elaine Benes dance contest.
