After joining Netflix’s NSFW show The Hunting Wives, John Stamos revealed if he has made a decision when it comes to scenes with full frontal nudity.

During an appearance on the Friday, December 12, episode of the Today show, Stamos, 62, recalled wife Caitlin McHugh‘s reaction to him joining the hit series, saying, “I told my wife I was doing it, and she said, ‘Are you gonna show your penis?’” And I said, ‘I don’t think so.’ But it’s one of those shows.”

Host Craig Melvin asked whether Stamos already verified in his scripts that he has no nude scenes. Stamos, however, confirmed he hasn’t read anything yet about his role before weighing in on if possible nudity is a dealbreaker for him.

“Well, we’ll see,” he replied. Stamos has a similar response after appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, December 10, saying, “Maybe!”

Based on May Cobb‘s book of the same name, The Hunting Wives introduced Us to Sophie (Brittany Snow), who moved from Boston to an East Texas town where she found herself drawn to prominent socialite Margo (Malin Åkerman). While some became invested in the murder at the center of the series, The Hunting Wives also provided plenty of entertainment with guns, drinking and steamy onscreen hookups.

The eight-part series, which premiered in July, was originally filmed for Starz before Lionsgate Television acquired the rights (and Netflix licensed U.S. rights to the series for a year). As a result, viewers got more NSFW sex scenes than they expected.

“[My character] gains power through many different ways. Part of her manipulation is sex, it is sexual and it’s how a lot of people operate in this world and in order to gain control. So when you have that power — and she’s very aware of it — she knows how to use it and she does,” Åkerman, 47, exclusively told Us Weekly when the show debuted. “So I like that about her. That’s what becomes controversial and fun and salacious and saucy, and that’s why we want to watch her.”

Snow, 39, meanwhile, expressed gratitude for how Åkerman went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable while filming their sex scenes

“Something really great about Malin too is she’s really, really attuned to what I was thinking or what others were thinking in terms of comfortability,” she shared on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast in October. “So she was always very aware — [since] she’s Swedish — that she’s more open with nudity. She is still a woman and wants to look good and isn’t just walking around naked. But I was more conscientious about it.”

Snow continued: “She would go like, ‘Do you want me to put my body here so you don’t have to show this part of yourself?’ I was like, ‘This is so selfless and nice.’”

According to an official synopsis, season 2 of The Hunting Wives picks up with Sophie and Margo “on the outs.”

“But soon enough, old secrets and new foes force them back together,” read the description for the hit Netflix series. “As they play their dangerous games the question arises. Are they the hunters or the hunted?”

In addition to Snow and Åkerman, Jaime Ray Newman, Dermot Mulroney, Evan Jonigkeit and George Ferrier are all confirmed to return.

The Hunting Wives is currently streaming on Netflix.
