Staff and customers were left shocked when a kangaroo hopped its way through the doors of a KFC in WA’s South West region.
Video footage has captured the roo bouncing around tables inside the Busselton KFC, with a second video showing the kangaroo bounding out of the fast food restaurant and through the parking lot.
“Only in Strayaaa,” the TikTok video is captioned, with many racing to the comment section.
“Skippy wants his zinger box,” one person commented.
“That is the most Australia thing I’ve ever seen come from Australia,” another wrote.
“Skippy will take a 3 piece feed please,” added another.
A KFC spokesperson confirmed the bizarre incident to Yahoo News.
“After roaming the restaurant for a bit, it then decided it was time to bounce,” the spokesperson told Yahoo News.
“We can confirm no customers, team members or marsupials were injured as a result.”
The visit comes as a koala was spotted roaming through the Meeniyan IGA in regional Victoria last week.
Videos and photos show the koala wandering through aisles and even climbing up a herbs and spices stand and taking a close look at a newspaper stand and children’s hats.
Store owner Kaelene Shervall told Today the koala “has a little roosting area over in the trees in the middle part of town”, but he “ended up at (the store’s) door and was very determined to come in”.
