Lauren Conrad and Kristin Cavallari are coming clean about where they stand after filming the Laguna Beach reunion more than 20 years after the show premiered.

“She really is the full package. She’s a mom, she’s a wife, she’s a business woman, she’s a girl’s girl,” Cavallari, 39, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, March 26, of Conrad, 40, while promoting The Reunion: Laguna Beach, premiering on Roku Friday, April 10.

Cavallari, who was caught in a love triangle with Conrad a.k.a “LC” and Stephen Colletti in high school — which was captured for the MTV cameras during season 1 and 2 of the show in 2004 and 2005 — told Us the two women have moved forward from their teenage rivalry.

“I think it’s been nice to be able to get to know her in this phase of life, after not seeing her for so many years,” Cavallari explained.

Conrad — who had a crush on longtime friend Colletti, 40, as a senior while he was dating junior Cavallari — agreed that filming Roku’s reunion gave the ladies a reason to meet on a level playing field.

“It’s been so nice to see her,” Conrad exclusively told Us of reuniting with Cavallari in this setting. “You know, she lives in Tennessee, so we don’t ever run into each other. We don’t have excuses to see each other. But this has been such a nice experience.”

Cavallari and Conrad will sit down for their first one-on-one scene during The Reunion: Laguna Beach after never filming alone together on the original series.

They will also spend time with their season 1 castmates, which includes Colletti, Trey Phillips, Talan Torriero, Christina Schuller, Lo Bosworth, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, Alex Hooser and Morgan Olsen. The group is set to have one last bonfire, which they famously did before the senior class went off to college during the season 1 reunion.

Before the reunion airs, however, fans will get to see an unfiltered version of the pairing as Conrad joins Cavallari on her “Honestly Cavallari” podcast. (The episode will air the week the reunion premieres.)

Cavallari told Us that while the reunion and the bonfire were “very special, the podcast was really the first time that the two of us have sat down for an hour and just girl chatted.”

The Uncommon James founder teased, “I think what we’ve realized is we actually have a lot more in common than we both probably thought. And I’m sure, the world has thought as well.”

Conrad noted that she had “so much fun” doing Cavallari’s podcast, which they filmed in California during one of Cavallari’s recent visits.

“It’s been really great to reconnect with her,” the LC Lauren Conrad designer, who lives in Southern California, added.

Conrad, who shares two sons with husband William Tell, told Us that she and Cavallari have bonded “a little bit” over motherhood since becoming parents.

“When you become a parent, especially when you have small kids, you talk about them constantly,” Conrad, whose brand can be found at Kohl’s, explained. “Like half of our conversations have been just about our kids.”

Cavallari, who is raising her and ex-husband Jay Cutler’s three children in Nashville, was in complete agreement.

“I do respect her a lot,” Cavallari shared of Conrad. “And, obviously, what we’ve gone through, no one else can understand other than this particular group of people.”

The Very Cavallari alum concluded, “I think there’s always going to be that common ground and that unique bond. I’m really grateful that I have people like this in my life who understand, collectively, what we’ve all gone through.”

The Reunion: Laguna Beach will reunite the OG cast of the MTV series for the first time in 20 years. The special will feature behind-the-scenes stories, cast reactions to iconic episodes and the truth behind their friendships and drama from the early 2000s.
