The Raiders’ training camp is underway, and optimism is high heading into the 2026 season.
Raiders fans expected an infusion of talent into the roster through the NFL draft, and they got exactly that with star rookie quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the No. 1 overall pick.
But many also believed the Raiders would lose their most talented defensive player, edge rusher Maxx Crosby. And there was a point when it appeared that Crosby’s tenure with the team was over before the blockbuster deal that was supposed to send him to the Ravens fell through.
Now Crosby is back with the Silver and Black, and he seems poised to produce another stellar season for Las Vegas.
Crosby’s wife, Rachel, and their 3-year-old daughter, Ella Rose, seem excited about Maxx’s return to the Raiders. And Rachel posted several photos of the family together at training camp on her Instagram on Sunday, with the caption, “Year 8 🖤🩶🦅”.
The photos show several behind-the-scenes looks at the Raiders’ training camp, including what looks to be an inflatable slide and a throwing mini-game that’s meant for children.
Crosby has produced at least seven sacks during every season of his NFL career and has proven to be one of the league’s more durable defensive players.
This will be the most talented Raiders team he has played on, assuming Mendoza can meet his potential. And if he does, Crosby and the rest of Las Vegas’ defense shouldn’t be under as much pressure to limit opposing teams.
