Megyn Kelly mocked Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris for dragging along running mate Tim Walz to her first interview with the media — referring to the Minnesota governor as her “big white blankie.”

“You don’t get to do it with your binky right next to you, your big white blankie for every interview,” the former Fox and NBC anchor said on her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show” on Wednesday.

Harris finally agreed to do a taped sit-down, which will air on CNN at 9 p.m. ET Thursday, five weeks after being anointed as Joe Biden’s successor following the aging president’s decision to not seek re-election.

“Here we have it, the ’emotional support governor’ will sit down with our potential next commander-in-chief for the first interview in five weeks since earth-shattering developments have happened in the Democratic race, and with respect to the White House, who’s ruling the country, how she became the nominee, and what she actually has in store for us,” Kelly said.

Kelly recalled that she “used to have a big white blankie that I carried everywhere.”

“He happens to be white. He is her big white blankie, which she needs in order to talk to the press.”

Kelly also wondered whether Walz will “jump in to save her” during the interview with CNN’s Dana Bash.

“If I were running for president, and I had a vice president … man or woman sitting next to me, and if I were asked a tough question, and my VP jumped in to save me, I would say, ‘Excuse me, that one was to me,’ and I would continue my answer,” Kelly said.

She pondered whether Walz will “have the nerve” to “actually step in because he knows that that will undermine her, and yet that is his purpose for being there.”

“And also, even if she doesn’t use the big white blankie in that way, it’s half the questions. She’s sitting down with Dana Bash, but she only has to do for half the allotted time, because he’ll get the rest,” according to Kelly.

Kelly predicted that the Harris-Walz interview will not have “some massive fall-down moment” because Bash is “definitely more sympathetic to the Democrats.”

Bash “doesn’t want to torch her career in this sit-down.”

A CNN spokesperson issued a statement to The Post defending Bash.

“Dana Bash is a well-respected veteran journalist who has covered politics and politicians in Washington for over three decades,” the CNN representative told The Post.

“She has extensive experience interviewing major political figures and is highly qualified to interview both Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz,” the spokesperson said, adding: “We look forward to their conversation.”

The Post has sought comment from the Harris-Walz campaign.

Kelly said Harris’ refusal to agree to an interview until now “doesn’t inspire confidence in me as a woman.”

“Everyone’s supposed to be celebrating that she could be our first female president, and she can’t even do a sit-down interview on her own,” she said.

“I got news for you, Madam Harris, that’s not how the presidency is supposed to work.”
