The Mets are bringing back one of their more charismatic players.
The team is re-signing outfielder Jesse Winker on a one-year, $7.5 million contract, The Post’s Joel Sherman confirmed. The deal can reach $9 million with incentives.
Aside from his role as an extra outfielder, Winker is known for his electric celebrations in big moments — including a helmet-smashing scene when scoring a run in Game 3 of the wild-card round against the Brewers.
Winker hit .243, with three home runs and 13 RBIs in 44 regular-season games with the Mets last season after they acquired the 31-year-old in a trade with the Nationals.
