Milo Ventimiglia and wife Jarah Mariano made their first public appearance since announcing that they are expecting their first baby.

Ventimiglia, 47, and Mariano, 39, posed for some sweet photos together while attending photographer Brian Bowen Smith’s “Joyride” exhibit at Studio CT in Agoura Hills, California on Saturday, October 19. In one snap, Ventimiglia leaned in to kiss his wife on the cheek while the pair stood with their arms wrapped around each other’s waists. Mariano looked lovingly at the actor in another shot.

Mariano wore a sheer, black, off-the-shoulder top that showed off her baby bump to the event while Ventimiglia rocked a floral-patterned button-up shirt. The appearance came one month after the couple shared their pregnancy news.

“Baby on board!” Mariano wrote via Instagram in September alongside photos of herself cradling her baby bump while atop a surfboard. A hand that is presumably Ventimiglia’s could be seen making a “shaka” hand sign in one of the snaps.

Ventimiglia and Mariano tied the knot in September 2023 and have gushed about each other since.

“When I saw my wife, I was always just like, ‘Oh, no, she’s my wife,’” Ventimiglia told Entertainment Tonight in February. “Right away, I kinda knew. … I think if anything, you know [that] you just got a partner that you’re gonna be there with, you’re gonna work with, you’re gonna find the joy [with]. And when pain hits you guys, you gotta get through it together.”

Mariano, meanwhile, commemorated the pair’s wedding anniversary last month in a sweet Instagram tribute.

“Last year I married my best friend,” she wrote alongside photos from the nuptials. “There aren’t enough words that exist to describe all the special qualities that make him who he is. AlI can say is that I am grateful for the life that we have together and the happiness that we have created🤍 Aloha wau iā ‘oe my husband Milo.”

Mariano noted in the caption that Smith, whose photo exhibit she and Ventimiglia attended, photographed their wedding.

While Mariano and Ventimiglia are relatively private, Ventimiglia shared a sweet insight into their life during an appearance on Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan’s “That Was Us” podcast earlier this month. He told his former This Is Us costars that Mariano had recently started watching the NBC drama series, which aired from 2016 to 2022.

“She can separate [my character] Jack from me, but she’s just a f—ing crier,” he said with a laugh. “She’s just crying and taking it in.”

Ventimiglia added that the show still feels too “close” and “recent” for him to sit down and watch it alongside his wife.

“I’ll walk in and be like, ‘Mhm, I gotta go,’” he said. “I walk out [but] sometimes I’ll linger because I remember watching this and this was a beautiful moment, just, for myself and my own enjoyment, but I can’t watch it just yet.”
