Get ready for the Beta babies.

Gen Alpha refers to babies born between 2010 and 2024 but, from the beginning of next year, tots welcomed into the world will be members of Gen Beta.

Like each generation that came before them, Betas will have their own set of unique styles and behaviors. They’ll also have their own set of distinctive names.

While popular monikers for Gen Alpha tots include Noah, Oliver, Olivia and Emma, a new report from BabyCenter revealed the names that will be hot for Beta babies born in 2025 and beyond.

Big events from 2024 are inspiring names for 2025, such as the Total Solar Eclipse. Eclipse, Sol and Orion are among the fastest-rising names for girls and boys.

The Paris Olympics also made its mark on viewers on 2024, and parents in the US were paying attention to the host country.

Common French names such as Raphael, Louis and Louise are rapidly becoming more popular in the United States.

More unique French monikers are gaining popularity, too: Beaux, Remi and Gustavo for boys, and Elodie, Arlette and Jolie for girls.

Meanwhile, the Olympics wasn’t the only sporting event that made a different. With the excitement around the NCAA basketball tournament this year, the WNBA became increasingly popular, and so are the names of the league’s most popular players.

Caitlin, Kamilla and A’ja have seen significant increases in popularity after former Iowa State point guard and current Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark; Kamilla Cardoso, formerly of the South Carolina Gamecocks who currently plays for the Chicago Sky; and A’ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces.

Meanwhile, BabyCenter also revealed the most popular baby names of 2024 — the final year that Gen Alpha tots will be born in.

Olivia is the most popular name for little girls born in 2024, followed by Ameilia, Emma, Sophia and Charlotte.

A shocking departure from the top girl names is Sarah, which has been a mainstay in the top 100 for more than 60 years. The name has dropped to No. 108.

Meanwhile, Noah continues to be the most popular moniker for baby boys in the US.

That Biblical name is followed in popularity by Liam, Oliver, Elijah and Mateo.
