This mother of the bride is haunted by what happened.

A 53-year-old mother is under extreme duress as her “wild child” daughter — “a practicing witch,” according to her dad — eloped and is having a Halloween wedding party in lieu of a more traditional ceremony.

The father of the bride recently chronicled the family drama on Reddit, writing that of his three children, none has “ever given me a headache like Lynn” — but the 55-year-old patriarch loves his youngest daughter for who she is.

It all began with Lynn getting a college degree at 16, moving to Louisiana shortly after and pursuing more education.

“She has always been our wildly independent, argumentative, intelligent little girl. She’s the more social one, too,” he wrote. “[She’s] covered in tattoos, piercings and always has funky hair. I’m proud of her, I love her, but she’s always been our non-traditional child.”

He added that Lynn is not only a nurse but also styles hair on the side.

When she moved down to the bayou-filled state, she met her future husband, 27-year-old Brad.

“Brad is like Lynn, tattoos and piercings up the wazoo. Non traditional. He’s a good kid, I like him. He protected Lynn and has been by her side for a lot of things, I actually love that kid for protecting my baby girl,” the dad wrote.

Even Lynn’s mom at the time was ecstatic about their engagement — at first.

“Lynn and Brad were both upfront about not wanting a wedding and just wanting a small party with mainly family and some friends as a celebratory thing,” the father added.

“My wife was very upset and pushed at Lynn till she reluctantly agreed to plan a wedding.”

However, “not even a week in,” Lynn and her mom butted heads over flowers, and the young bride-to-be retreated to her new home of Louisiana — where she and her fiancé made a drastic decision.

“Lynn announced they had eloped and would be planning a small intimate get-together in New Orleans around Halloween time,” wrote the dad. “My wife lost it, her and Lynn got into a huge argument over the phone which led to them both not speaking.”

Now, Lynn’s mother is brought to tears each time the situation is discussed.

“After a few weeks of this nonsense, I finally snapped and said, ‘Why are you surprised? Lynn didn’t want a wedding in the first place! She’s our least traditional child!’” the post continued, mentioning the father told his wife to “stop crying about it” and just look forward to the future weddings of their other kids.

“My wife called me a few names and has been avoiding me … It also just felt wrong she tried forcing [a big traditional wedding] on Lynn.”

Several commenters took the dad’s side and said it was on the mother for how the nuptials went south so quickly.

“[Lynn] didn’t want the wedding. And when she agreed to a small wedding, your wife tried to bulldoze her into one,” one person wrote.

“Lynn clearly expressed her desire for a small celebration, and it’s not fair for your wife to push her into something she didn’t want. If this continues, it could really damage their relationship,” added another.

Meanwhile, a third wrote a likely hard truth to swallow.

“Does your wife realize she was probably the reason your daughter eloped? If she had just let Lynn do whatever kind of wedding she wanted, I’m sure out of the small guest list you both would have been invited.”
