The Panthers are shooting down any suggestions that they’re going to trade Bryce Young.

“That’s not something we’re really considering,” Panthers coach Dave Canales said, per ESPN. “We have a great situation with our quarterbacks right now with guys that have experience. We love where we are at, and it’s all hands on deck.”

The speculation started after the Panthers revealed that they would be benching Young in favor of veteran Andy Dalton for Week 3 after Young threw for just 84 yards and an interception in a 26-3 loss to the Charges.

Young has had the worst record through 18 games of any QB taken first overall in the Super Bowl Era, ESPN reported.

The 23-year-old was selected with the first overall pick in 2023 and has struggled in the NFL.

Canales added Young could still be a franchise quarterback, telling reporters “absolutely” on Wednesday.

“This is a developmental-minded program, so the development didn’t stop,” he said. “Every rep he’s out there, we’re evaluating the whole thing, having conversations and continuing to push all of our guys, including Bryce, to take the next step.”

A source told ESPN that Young wasn’t happy over the news that he would be benched, but added that the QB would remain professional throughout the situation.

Young completed just 31 of 56 pass attempts in his first two games of the season and has not thrown a touchdown pass while throwing three interceptions.

The second-year quarterback is slated to speak with reporters on Thursday.

The Panthers will travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders in Week 3 when Dalton gets the start.

The Raiders (1-1) are coming off a 26-23 win over the Ravens.
