Travis Kelce signed on the dotted line on Monday, making his new deal with the Chiefs official, and his longtime teammate Patrick Mahomes made sure he didn’t miss the moment.

In a team-produced video published by the Chiefs, Mahomes made an appearance at the team facility via a FaceTime call as Kelce was signing the new contract.

“Congrats, man,” Mahomes could be heard saying in one video.

“Home sweet home, with the beard too,” Mahomes told Kelce as they caught up quickly.

“I just wanted to call to say congratulations,” Mahomes continued, “I know you’ve got stuff going on.”

The Chiefs confirmed the deal on Monday, but did not release contract details.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that the deal is a three-year, $54.735 million contract that could be worth as much as 57.735 million.

Kelce will be paid $12 million in the first year of the deal, along with $3 million in incentives.

The official word that Kelce was returning came after months of speculation around whether or not he had planned to play again or would be hanging up his helmet for good.

In the video put out by the team, Kelce was pumped to be back at 1 Arrowhead Drive, and could be heard saying, “home sweet home” in the beginning of the video.

“We’re excited, man. I think coach, [general manager Brett Veach] and the entire staff have brought in some of our favorites in terms of coaches,” Kelce said. “But also, some of the best in the league have been added to the team. It’s exciting times and I’m just ready to get back in a Chiefs uniform.”

Kelce, the fiancé of music superstar Taylor Swift,, is coming off a season where he had 851 receiving yards and five touchdowns for Kansas City.

The 2026 campaign will be his 14th season in the NFL, all of which have been with the Chiefs.
