Rams wide receiver Demarcus Robinson was arrested on suspicion of DUI in the early hours of Monday morning after his team lost to the Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.”

Robinson was arrested on a Los Angeles freeway after he was pulled over by authorities for driving over 100 mph, the California Highway Patrol confirmed.

Officers stopped Robinson’s white Dodge Sedan around 5:13 a.m. local time on US-101.

A press release by the CHP stated that Robinson identified himself and told officers he was an active player for the Rams.

“Officers observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol impairment and Robinson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence,” the release said. “Robinson was cited and released to a responsible party.”

TMZ, which first reported the news, indicated that Robinson refused to do a field sobriety test at the site of the traffic stop.

The Rams have not publicly commented on the arrest.

Robinson appeared to be available virtually to reporters on Monday, according to a video posted to the team’s website.

News of the arrest only broke late Monday night on the East Coast.

The Rams lost to the Eagles on Sunday Night 37-20 and Robinson had two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown in a game that took place at SoFi Stadium.

The wide receiver has 26 catches for 384 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games this season for the Rams.

He already surpassed his season total from 2023 when he had 371 receiving yards and four touchdowns in 16 games.

Robinson had started his career in 2016 after the Chiefs drafted him in the fourth round out of Florida.

After playing for the Chiefs through 2021, he briefly spent time with the Raiders in 2022 and the Ravens, who picked him up after he was released by Las Vegas following two preseason games.

Robinson signed with the Rams in 2023.
