The last time Giants general manager Joe Schoen held two top-10 picks in the NFL Draft, he treated them like a pair.

Schoen drafted edge Kayvon Thibodeaux (at No. 5) instead of an offensive tackle because there were two offensive tackles with virtually the same grade on the Giants’ draft board — Evan Neal (No. 7) and Ikem Ekwonu — and only edge.

Good thinking. Bad evaluations.

Neal and the Panthers’ Ekwonu are the worst two players in the top 14 of that draft class, and Thibodeaux is closer to the bottom than the top.
