Rat Boy Summer has turned into Fake Celeb Fall.
Celebrity look-alike contests are popping up in NYC and around the world in the wake of the viral Timothée Chalamet-themed event held in Manhattan last month — which accidentally became an international sensation.
Nearly 10,000 lanky, mop-topped boys and their devotees crowded Washington Square Park on Oct 27 — after a photo of a flyer posted in the Big Apple advertising the competition and its $50 cash prize was seen by millions on social media.
Hopefuls flew in from across the country to take part in the unsanctioned to-do, which even attracted the real Chalamet, to the delight of an unwieldy crowd and the bafflement of law enforcement, who ended up arresting several wannabes.
The event’s creator, Anthony Po, 23 — the so-called “Cheeseball Man” who lured similar crowds to Union Square in April with another hilarious stunt — was fined $500.
Since the Chalamet contest, fliers advertising look-alike contests for Jack Donoghue, Jeremy Allen White, Zayn Malik, and Nicholas Chavez have been spotted around Manhattan.
Bearded brunettes who believe they see a knockoff Donoghue — a musician and music producer who dated Lana Del Ray and has been described as the “indie Pete Davidson” — when they look in the mirror should gather at Seward Park in Chinatown on Sunday at 3 p.m. to win a $75 cash prize.
Those who want to cook up some competition as “The Bear” star’s doppelgänger are encouraged to go to Washington Square Park on Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. to attempt to claim the prize of two packs of cigarettes and a seven-day Metrocard — Yes, Chef!
Later in the day, those who think they could stand in for former One Director turned solo artist Zayn Malik are directed to join the Zquad at Maria Hernandez Park in Bushwick at 3:30 p.m. to claim their free ink by tattoo artist @hel.heart.
However, like the Chalamet contest, it’s unclear whether or not these fliers are promoting real, permitted events or merely a joke — or another chaotic moment waiting to happen.
A viral TikTok video of micro-influencer @viviarmacost taping a paper advertising a Chavez look-alike competition in Washington Square Park on Oct. 26 doesn’t seem to have taken place.
The hunky star was one of the breakout stars of “Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story.”
No follow-up videos have been posted since the flier went viral at the start of last month.
These heartthrob hotspots may even be expanding beyond NYC, with a Dev Patel contest supposedly being held in San Francisco and another Chalamet search allegedly taking place in Tampa on Sunday.
London student Octave Cusinberche, 22, told The Post he considered flying from London to NYC for the original Chalamet dupe competition “just for fun” but hoped one happen closer to home.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s one organized in London soon,” he said noting all the international buzz.
And while a Chalamet contest hasn’t popped up in England yet, the idea has made its way across the pond with an Irish twist.
A Paul Mescal look-alike competition is said to be taking place in Dublin this Thursday — the city that was recently hornswoggled by a hilarious Halloween parade “hoax.”
The “Normal People” actor is supposedly scheduled to be in town that day and fans are sure to be hoping he follows Chalamet’s lead and shows up in his short shorts — maybe it’ll be the luck of the Irish.
