Satou Sabally never really wanted to get into the details of the aftermath of the concussion she suffered in Game 3 of last year’s WNBA Finals, which sidelined her for most of the offseason.

When she joined the Liberty this offseason, her focus shifted to continuing her sister Nyara’s legacy in New York and addressing unfinished business she shares with college teammate Sabrina Ionescu.

Sabally wanted to win a championship, and her addition made the Liberty no-brainer title favorites.

“I was more so focused on where I want to be next,” she said earlier this season.
