You may now kick the bride and groom out of your lives.

An anonymous Reddit user recalled the horror story that cost a friend about $3,000 by a shady trick a bride and groom played regarding the RSVP for their wedding.

Using pseudonyms to save the humiliation of the unlucky lad, Jack, the original poster (OP) in the Reddit forum r/EntitledPeople, said the proceedings started as normal. The couple to be wed in the United Kingdom, Sophie and Jeff even let Jack bring his girlfriend along despite not knowing her.

“A few months later, Jack received an email that stated ‘Thank you for RSVPing to our wedding, and thank you for helping us have the wedding of our dreams,’” the user wrote.

“At the bottom of the email, Jack saw a link that said ‘click here for payment’.”

Jack had simply assumed this was some sort of honeymoon page and browsed to see a request of 2,000 English Pounds, or close to $2,700 American.

“He assumed this must be a scam so called the wedding venue to let them know. The venue then told him that ‘Sophie and Jeff thank you for your contribution to enable them to have their dream wedding.’”

The online narrator stressed that this was only made known after Jack had RSVP’d yes — he also realized his girlfriend’s invitation was likely an anterior motive — and still cared enough “to empty his entire savings to attend the wedding.”

Still trying to keep a positive attitude, Jack thought he would try to cut his losses by stocking up on free food and an open bar.

“Cut to the wedding, the drinks were not included,” the Reddit user said, noting that Jack and his girlfriend spent around $40 on beverages.

But that was the least of it come wedding night — Jack was also slammed with a surprise nearly $270 charge as well.

“He was then informed by the venue that the bride and groom had requested every guest be charged this amount as a tip for the venue,” the user wrote.

“Jack had no money left from rinsing his savings for the wedding that he had to negotiate a lower tip amount with the venue.”

Later on Jack looked at the venue’s cost and realized that Sophie and Jeff had completely pawned the cost of their nuptials onto loved ones without paying a dime.

“I’ve never heard of anything so entitled in my life.”

And, the online community quickly objected to the wedding as well.

“Once I saw the payment screen, I would have called and canceled my RSVP,” one person commented.

“I would never, ever empty my savings for a scam couple like that. Damn,” added another.
