You could probably call it the calm before the storm.
Three days before Spain’s World Cup final against Argentina Sunday at MetLife Stadium, star Lamine Yamal was spotted in Manhattan grabbing halal food with his girlfriend, Inés García.
Yamal in a video posted to X, put his arms around García while waiting for food, while a fan recording him offers some encouragement.
“Lamine let’s get this Messi money on Sunday, come on,” they said to the teen phenom, who’s wearing blue jeans and a white shirt while holding a black bag.
Garcia also posted a video to her Instagram Story, capturing the busy city scene.
Yamal and Garcia went official with their relationship early in 2026, and Garcia has made headlines for the outfit she’s been wearing to Spain’s games.
Garcia also revealed more details about their relationship, noting that they met online.
“We’ve been together much longer than people think, much longer,” Garcia said, via Marca.com. “People started seeing me with him when we went to Greece or a few weeks before that and all that. I’ve known Lamine for much, much, much longer, not three years either, but quite a few more months than people think up to this day.”
Yamal is gearing up for his first World Cup final, and he’s played a key role on a Spain team that’s cruised through the tournament.
The 19-year-old has just one goal throughout the tournament, but has been a contributor and creator in attack and helped teammates find scoring chances.
Spain beat Austria 3-0 in the Round of 32 to begin the knockout stage of the World Cup before downing Portugal 1-0 the following round.
After sneaking by Belgium 2-1 in the quarterfinals, Spain advanced to the final with a convincing 2-0 win over France.
Yamal and Spain are just one step away from winning it all, and they’ll have a chance to do so Sunday against Argentina.
