SAN ANTONIO — Another day, another coaching honor.
Two days after Rick Pitino was named a co-recipient of the Associated Press National Coach of the Year, he was chosen as the Werner Ladder Naismith National Coach of the Year for the first time.
Recently, Pitino was also picked as the U.S. Basketball Writers Association’s (USBWA) Henry Iba National Coach of the Year.
St. John’s best season in 25 years has resulted in a series of awards for the Hall of Famer.
