They’ll for sure remember this moment.
An elated Taylor Swift was seen celebrating in her Allegiant Stadium suite on Sunday after the Chiefs and her boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, defeated the 49ers in overtime in Super Bowl 2024.
The pop megastar, 34, flew into Las Vegas to support Kelce, also 34, following four Eras Tour shows in Tokyo, Japan, earlier in the week.
The Chiefs clinched their second consecutive Super Bowl title with a 25-22 win over the 49ers.
Kelce, who has been dating Swift since the summer, had nine receptions for 93 yards and zero touchdowns in Sunday’s championship contest at Allegiant Stadium.
Super Bowl 2024 marked Swift’s 13th Chiefs game this season.
Leading up to Sunday’s big game, there was speculation as to whether Swift would make it in time.
The Embassy of Japan in Washington, D.C., even posted a statement on social media last week, which reassured fans that Swift can “wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs.”
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins,” the embassy said on Feb. 2, using Swift’s song titles in its statement.
The “Cruel Summer” singer reportedly has generated $330 million for the NFL and the Chiefs while introducing an entirely new audience to the league.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell spoke about the couple in November, and how their impact is “great” for the NFL.
“Listen, they’re happy,” Goodell said at the time. “They seem to be enjoying their relationship. That’s great in and of itself.
“But it has connected more fans of Taylor’s and more fans of the NFL in some ways. To see that they have a connection, now they have a connection to our game and to Taylor.”
It’s been rumored Kelce could join Swift on the international leg of her Eras Tour this offseason.
Swift will next travel to Australia following Super Bowl 2024.
She will then make her way to Singapore followed by Europe in the spring.
