Lock it in!

Chastity has been named the top fetish of 2025 by Clips4Sale, the self-described largest online platform for kink and fetish content.

And it’s a lot wilder than merely holding off on the hanky panky — there’s still a show of sorts, just no grand finale.

While it may seem like an old-fashioned, even medieval concept — clunky metal chastity belts have been around longer than any of us — the quaint quirk has experienced a revival in recent years.

According to data shared by C4S, interest in chastity sex toys surged by 193% since 2020, with a 71% increase in 2024 alone.

In the US, horny hotties in Florida and Pennsylvania are said to have searched for the restrictive rigs the most, while “chastity” was the most searched-for fetish in Idaho and Nebraska.

Once a relatively niche interest, the practice of orgasm denial — at the core of the kink in question — has shot to the forefront of sexual exploration, according to the porn site.

The most common expression of the fetish involves a physical device, often a cage or harness, that restricts the wearer’s ability to experience orgasm.

Typically worn by men, these devices are locked and the key is held by a partner — the “keyholder” — who decides when, or if, the wearer will be allowed to climax.

Chastity play can last anywhere from a few hours to weeks on end.

The fetish even has its own month, known as “Locktober,” during which participants — mostly men — embrace an enforced month of sexual abstinence.

It’s even come into play with celebrities. Katy Perry locked a chastity belt around her crotch while filming a music video this summer and Julia Fox, Tiger Woods and Lenny Kravitz have openly discussed abstaining from sex.

The news comes as many Gen Zers have explored the idea of sexual denial — “resetting” their virginity, going “boysober” and joining South Korea’s “4B” movement.

Chastity offers a subversive take on mainstream purity culture, seen in movements like NoFap or the “tradwife” aesthetic, which often associate sexual abstinence with moral superiority or self-restraint. An explosion of online communities has made the fetish more visible and accessible than ever.

Proponents claim that it emphasizes power dynamics — the eroticism of control, submission, and desire itself.

Online retailers have been quick to capitalize on the trend, with mainstream platforms like Amazon offering a wide range of chastity devices, further fueling the fetish’s popularity.
