Gleyber Torres may have lost himself some serious money during the first half of the season.

How much has he recouped over the past few months — and potentially even more in October?

In what is likely to be his final ride as a Yankee, Torres has put a miserable first half in the rearview mirror by looking much more like himself at the plate in the second half and carrying that over into the postseason, where he has consistently produced some of the Yankees’ best at-bats in the ALDS.

The oft-maligned second baseman has played well enough over the past three months that he has even made it back to a point where it’s not crazy to ask if the Yankees extend him the qualifying offer (even if it may still be risky and something of a long shot, especially with all of their resources going toward trying to bring back Juan Soto).
