There is no reason Toni Storm being one of the most unique personalities in wrestling shouldn’t be expanded — and potentially to pay homage to one of the all-time greats.
“Timeless” Toni Storm did try to tell us she was retiring during an interview with SB Nation in November, and for now that appears to be the case.
Storm, with her previous rocker persona, returned to AEW TV to confront women’s world champion Mariah May to close Winter is Coming on Wednesday. Her surprise appearance was the first time we have seen her in AEW since “Timeless” Toni Storm lost the championship to May at All In on Aug. 25.
The “Timeless” character — a paranoid Golden Age movie starlet — was so good that it would be a shame to retire it cold in AEW, which is currently doing an amnesia angle with her. Storm remembers nothing that happened previously in AEW and treats it like it’s her first day on the job.
