They took their attraction to the next level.
Body modification enthusiasts Sadie Riendeau and her fiancée Hannah Hansman took the next step in their commitment to each other by getting magnets implanted beneath their skin that connect when they touch.
“I use the implant almost daily to link to Hannah,” Riendeau, a Massachusetts content creator, told Jam Press.
“The magnets aren’t painful to use or to the touch; if anything, you could forget it’s there,” she continued. “It’s also now like a fun party trick.”
The pair went viral on social media after showing off their romantic body modification — which required the small magnets to be implanted using a needle — eliciting mixed reactions from their 2.6 million viewers.
“Something pulling from inside my skin I could never,” one aghast user wrote.
“How do I explain this at tsa,” joked another person, while a different viewer quipped they should get some sort of tattoo where the magnets are.
“I’ve seen hair stylists get this cause it’s great for holding bobby pins,” someone else commented.
“I love it idc what anyone says,” one user complimented. “Unique, simple, silly and cute.”
While the clip of the $1,000 procedure made some onlookers queasy, Riendeau said it was “quick,” explaining that it involved making a pocket in the skin using a needle and slipping the magnet under the skin.
“Hannah was nervous but it didn’t take much convincing at all when I explained that we could connect them to one another,” she said.
“It made her eager to do it with me.”
