Maybe the Mets will still complete the 2007-2008-2024 trifecta and again have their postseason hopes dashed on the final out of the regular season — Atlanta is a house of horrors, after all — but Sunday’s 5-0 road victory against the Brewers offers some signs that this team might be more trustworthy with their backs against the wall.
