An Aussie private investigator has shared the details of one of her “wildest” cases involving a cheating husband.
In a TikTok video, Cass explained, “My client, the wife, wanted to find out how her husband was cheating. We were pretty sure he was up to something.”
The couple lived in Queensland, but her husband had been making frequent trips to New South Wales to visit his family – something he rarely did before.
Initially, the wife checked their joint bank accounts.
She found transactions from the Australian grocery store named Coles and a hardware store called Bunnings but because there were no specific locations attached to them, she couldn’t prove anything.
Cass advised her to check if they had any joint rewards accounts, such as Everyday Rewards or Flybuys.
They had a Flybuys account, so they opened the app, revealing all the transactions.
The purchases from Coles and Bunnings were listed with the suburbs where each store was located, and they turned out to be in a Queensland suburb where the husband’s ex-girlfriend lives.
In her TikTok caption, Cass joked, “$10 off your shop but a very expensive divorce.”
Cass runs Venus Investigations, a female-run investigative business that provides services such as background checks, on-ground mobile surveillance, and social media and dating deep dives to help women feel empowered in their love lives.
In the comments section, viewers shared their own stories of discovering their partners’ secret affairs.
“Nailed it! Caught mine the same way,” one woman said.
“Hope she kept the points,” jested another.
“The most inconspicuous cheating app,” quipped a third commenter.
“LinkedIn account caught my ex cheating,” another person mentioned, referring to their joint e-tag account.
“I found out my now ex-husband bought condoms and kids’ stuff at Big W when I was looking for a transaction on my Everyday Rewards account. We don’t have kids,” shared someone else.
In another TikTok clip, Cass shares a tip for catching a cheating partner that simply involves asking to use their phone.
First, tell them that your phone is dead and ask to borrow theirs. Most of the time, they will willingly hand it over, as they may have deleted any incriminating messages.
However, when you get access to their phone to write a new message, Cass recommends pressing the emoji button, which will allow you to see their most recently used emojis.
In one case she mentioned, a woman discovered that her partner had just used the eggplant emoji, commonly known to represent a penis, even though he had never sent one to her before.
