“Do you want to have a statue made in your likeness someday?”
That would be the first question I would ask the candidates for general manager and head coach of the Jets if I were team owner Woody Johnson.
Everyone is going to say how unattractive the Jets jobs are and it is hard to argue that these jobs are not exactly winning a beauty contest right now. But let’s be real here. These are still great jobs that have a nice salary attached to them and very few of them exist in the world.
So, Johnson is going to find good candidates in the interview process and my selling job to them would begin with the chance to be a legend.
