Anne Hathaway brought her A-game to the Ralph Lauren fashion show.
Hathaway, 43, looked ageless in a chic ensemble while hitting the runway during New York Fashion Week. She stole the show in a black dress featuring a halter neckline and semi-sheer lace details over her bodice. Her dress cascaded into a flowy skirt finished with a delicate train and layers of ruffles.
The actress made her look even more glamorous with a brown furry coat, which she wore wrapped around her arms. Hathaway accessorized with gold chunky hoop earrings and a coordinating ring. She tied her look together with a dainty bracelet.
For glam, Hathaway stunned with a full beat featuring a dewy base with glowy skin, contoured and blushed cheeks. Her eyeshadow made her brown eyes pop with bronzey shadow blended into her crease and black eyeliner. She completed her makeup with filled-in eyebrows and pink lipstick. Hathaway parted her brunette hair to the side and styled her mane in a voluminous blowout.
Hathaway has long been open about aging in the spotlight and further discussed her mindset while chatting with Today in September 2023.
First, she reflected on a statement she made over a decade ago: “When I look back on my 20s, I just remember being afraid of everything. And in my 30s, I’m actually excited about things.”
Now that she’s in her 40s, Hathaway said she’s “cherishing” moments. “I’m right at that point where I have a much better sense of how I like to do things and a much deeper respect that there’s more than one way to do things.”
She added, “I’m really excited about pursuing my own take on things. I’m so much better at sharing. I feel like I’m kinder to myself and I’m kinder to others.” Hathaway continued, “If I’m lucky enough to be a woman experiencing aging in her 80s, I’m building her now.” She also said that she gets “really excited” about “developing.”
When it comes to hitting milestone ages, Hathaway noted that she doesn’t “think about age.”
“I was a teenager who spent a lot of time around adults and as a result, I had to get really comfortable that I was a different age than other people,” she explained. “I was friends with somebody who was 30, 40, or 50 years older than me.” Hathaway also noted that she thinks talking about someone else’s appearance is “a really personal thing.”
“To me, aging is another word for living,” she said. “If people wanna pay you a compliment, it’s nice, but whatever the hype is, I’m interested in what’s beyond the concept of hype.”
Hathaway had another hype moment when she looked just like her reprised Devil Wears Prada character, Andy Sachs, at the Michael Kors fashion show in September 2022. While watching the runway alongside Anna Wintour, who the movie’s character Miranda Priestly was based on, she rocked a brown leather jacket with her hair pulled into a glamorous ponytail.
