St. John’s road to March Madness continues today with the quarterfinal round of the Big East Tournament.
As regular season champions, the Red Storm captured the No. 1 seed in the conference tournament, which began yesterday, and received a bye directly into the quarterfinals. They’ll face No. 9 Providence this afternoon.
The Red Storm are 18-2 in Big East play this season, with one of those two losses coming against Providence. Less than one month ago, the Friars and Red Storm clashed in a 79-69 Red Storm win where six players were ejected.
