Powersports brand FRP has announced the launch of Rider Series, its first community-focused initiative in the United States, as the company continues to expand its US presence. The series begins on 2 May in Stafford, Texas, as the first in a planned sequence of community events across major markets nationwide.
The inaugural event, FRP Rider Series Houston Vol. 1 Keep Going Further, will bring together local riders for community riding, mini bike games, and custom bike showcases. The GMB100 will be presented in new blue and yellow colourways at the event. Riders who take part in selected activities will receive product-based rewards, which include branded apparel, accessories, and parts.
“We built FRP for people who want to ride consistently,” said Wei Huang, founder and CEO of FRP. “The goal has always been to make riding feel approachable at the beginning and worth coming back to after the first ride. The industry sells courage. We believe courage happens after riders trust the bike.”
Rider Series was put together to meet the needs of a growing group of riders who engage with powersports through everyday riding, local meetups, and experiences that are social rather than competitive in nature. The format reflects a shift taking place across the powersports world, where practical and community-led riding is playing a larger role alongside traditional performance events.
“We do not see community as a marketing campaign,” Huang said. “We see it as listening. The people who ride our bikes help shape what we build next, and these events give us a way to stay close to that.”
FRP plans to continue running Rider Series as a regular platform for engaging with local riding communities as its US presence grows. The company is also set to release two new models, the FX140 and FX125, in June. Both feature updated engineering developed for trail riding and durability on longer outings.
The Houston event takes place from 4pm to 8pm on 2 May at 12999 Murphy Rd., Unit 2K1, Stafford, Texas, and is open to invited riders, local partners, and community members.
