The Post’s Mark Cannizzaro makes his selections for the 2026 PGA Championship, which begins Thursday:
Rickie Fowler
It’s his time. At age 37, playing in his 56th career major, spanning nine top 5 finishes and 13 top 10s, Fowler finally does it. He comes in playing well, with three consecutive top 10 finishes, including a runner-up in last week’s Truist.
Scottie Scheffler
Because he’s always near the top thanks to his unmatched consistency. Add this second-place finish to his three consecutive runner-up finishes entering the week.
Brooks Koepka
No one’s paying much attention to him, but he remains a big-game hunter and he’s in a good place with his game and his attitude. He, too, has hoisted the Wanamaker Trophy three times already, so he knows how to do this.
Cam Young
Yes, he faltered Sunday at Quail Hollow while in contention to win the Truist when his putter failed him. But there isn’t a player on more of a heater than the pride of Sleepy Hollow right now. Young has unlocked his game the way the Knicks have since that second loss to Atlanta.

Jordan Spieth
He teases us with a good week and a close call in his effort to become only the seventh player in history to complete the career Grand Slam.
