Influencer Jen Hamilton is in her carefree era amid her divorce from husband Brian Hamilton.
Jen, 37, took to Instagram on Sunday, July 26, to share a mirror selfie in which she showed off her sexy ensemble for a night out: a certifiable black high-neck “revenge” top with sheer patterned sleeves, paired with high-waisted jeans, a black belt and gold accessories on her wrist.
Jen wore her blonde hair down in waves and pushed to one shoulder as she winked at the camera with a huge smile and her tongue between her teeth. She popped one hip out and rested her opposite hand on her thigh.
“I’m going out tonight 😘,” she captioned the post, seemingly referencing lyrics in Taylor Swift’s 2022 song “Bejeweled.”
Fans and friends gushed over Jen’s look in the comments, with one user declaring it her “divorce glow-up.”
“It might be a rite of passage to take a mirror selfie in a cute going-out top early in divorce and post it to this song, I did the same 🤍🤍🤍,” another fan wrote. “Have a GREAT night! 🥰”
Jen also responded to a critic who accused her of posting the selfie to get her ex’s attention.
“He’s blocked on everything but thanks for the engagement 😘😘,” she wrote.
The post comes more than one month after Jen confirmed her split from Brian after 13 years of marriage.
“I’m feeling embarrassed and feeling exposed and feeling sad, feeling every single thing you probably possibly feel. My publicists say that I should make a statement ‘when I’m ready,’” she said in a TikTok video on June 15. “There is no being ready. But there’s already been a bunch of articles about it, so I might as well just rip the Band-Aid off and put it out there in the wind.”
Sharing a statement she wrote with Brian, Jen continued, “Yes, we are separating. This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship. What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center.”
Jen added that Brian, with whom she shares sons Ellis and Luke, is still her “bestest friend.”
“I love him more than I ever knew I could love somebody,” she said. “And the both of us being the best versions of ourselves only helps our family. … I can’t wait to meet the version of myself that figured out how to [heal]. She’s gonna be really cool.”
Jen later shared in an Instagram video on Sunday that Brian “found the time to have a whole other life” while she worked as a nurse. (She has stepped away from the job amid her divorce.)
“As someone who’s never even passionately kissed anyone else in my entire life, this has broken me beyond comprehension,” she said. “I’m done being people’s PR manager. My kids know, everybody in my orbit knows, so I’m just going to give you the nitty-gritty details so it can give you enough information to be, like, ‘OK, I get it.’”
Jen added that Brian’s alleged lover knew about their marriage because Brian talked about her “all the time.”
“Secrets and hiding are what I believe made all this possible, so the way I’m dealing with it is by not having any secrets,” Jen concluded.
