John Harbaugh was on the phone with his wife after the Giants did not win and did not lose last Sunday against the Commanders. Ingrid Harbaugh was tuned in to various NFL games on what turned into a wild and wacky Sunday of action.
“And she says, ‘The whole NFL is like crazy town right now. It’s crazy town,’” John Harbaugh said. “It’s like, there’s so much crazy going on in this league right now. That’s what makes it so exciting, I guess. And we were right in the middle of it.”
Oh yes, the Giants were right in the middle of it.
Crazy town touched down in Landover, Md., where the Commanders turned impending victory into what, for them, was an unconscionable tie because of their last-minute mental meltdown. Instead of getting off a potential game-winning field goal attempt, Washington quarterback Jayden Daniels took a sack as the clock expired in overtime, prompting head coach Dan Quinn to slam down his headset in disgust.
